Design
Like past Alienware notebooks, the Alienware 17 is solidly built. It uses a magnesium alloy chassis and its silver anodized aluminum lid is held firmly in place by two heavy-duty hinges. The lid sports the ever-present backlit alien-head logo which has defined the Alienware brand for years.Features
The keyboard deck has a smooth rubberized feel that repels fingerprint smudging. It is home to a full-sized traditional-style keyboard with black keys and a dedicated number pad as well as a multi-gesture touch pad with two oversized buttons.The keyboard keys provide good travel and a comfortable typing and the touch pad is responsive and offers plenty of room for scrolling, pinching, and zooming. Making their debut on the 17-inch platform are four macro keys positioned above the number pad. Using the supplied Alien TactX utility you can assign frequently used commands such as weapon changing and reloading to gain an edge over your opponents.
Display
Alienware 17 (2014) has Display Dishing out vivid hues and capturing sharp details, the Alienware's 17.3-inch matte anti-glare 1920 x 1080-pixel is the best-looking in its class. Text looks crisp, and the viewing angles are high generous enough to comfortably can view three people.
